Dance Competitions in South Carolina

In honor of 15 years of production, we are proud to announce our expansion of dance competitions in South Carolina for 2015 and beyond.

  • 3/14-3/15: Lexington District Three Fine Arts Center in Columbia, South Carolina
  • 3/21-3/22: Myrtle Beach High School, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
  • 4/25-4/25: South Pointe High School in Rock Hill, South Carolina
  • 6/25-6/28: National Finals at South Pointe High School in Rock Hill, South Carolina

We offer a multitude of categories and divisions for dancers to participate in. We understand the hard work and dedication required on behalf of our competitors. Therefore, we created three separate Competition Levels based on the amount of time spent in practice, or class, per week: Recreational or First-Gear, Intermediate or Second-Gear, and Competitive or Third-Gear. Although we allow teachers to place dancers in the appropriate competition level, our judges will assess the complexity of each routine and may adjust the Competition Level of each performer if the routine appears more or less advanced than the teacher-proposed competition level.

Our dancers have the option of selecting from 25 modern and classical categories–some limiting the amount of aerial tricks–can be found on the Rules page. for entering the competition. Depending on the amount of dancers in each performance, we have six divisions and six overall age divisions in which performers may enter the competition. In order to be eligible for an overall age division, three entries into the specified age group must be present. We want our competitors to learn the value of enjoying competition without the pressure to bring home a trophy. All contestants will receive either a trophy, medal, or pin in recognition of their efforts. Any award should be an added benefit to the friends and relationships forged through competition.

Please remember that mother nature may intervene in the planned competitions, and we may be required to move or adjust competition dates accordingly. It’s important to contact and check our site regularly for updates prior to heading out for each competition.
